Northeast Asia Analyst

Location: Fort Shafter, Hawaii


The MASY Group is seeking a Northeast Asia to support the 500th MI BDE.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze data relevant to Northeast Asia using all-source intelligence tradecraft
  • Author analytical products, including briefings, white papers, graphical intelligence summaries, and other studies to support current and future US Army Pacific (USARPAC) operations
  • Interface and liaise directly with counterparts within the US intelligence community (IC) charged with collection, exploitation, and reporting on East Asia
  • Develop recommendations for the client
  • Provide analysis in response to specific threat reports, incident reports, and natural or man-made disasters, as required
  • Ideal candidates will have subject matter expertise on Northeast Asia


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of intelligence analyst experience
  • Experience with Northeast Asia countries and the USPACOM theater
  • Experience in the intelligence community and structure, missions, and capabilities
  • Knowledge of advanced analytical tools commonly used in the IC
  • Knowledge of Asia-Pacific culture, military, foreign policy, and politics
  • Ability to show clarity using language with precision, organizing a logical argument, editing, summarizing, and analyzing content
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts in written, oral, and graphical formats
  • Ability to accomplish tasks under limited supervision and under short-time constraints
  • TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working the Joint Targeting Cycle or Service-level targeting
  • Experience with DCGS-A and other Army or IC analyst tools and applications preferred
  • Knowledge of the region from a first-hand cultural standpoint
